History: The shops at Cleeve Wood Road were originally built in the 1950’s, a few extra shops were added later on. The shops have housed a wide variety of businesses in the past including butchers, a grocer, bakery, toy shop, video shop, sport shop and more. Now: Cleeve Wood Road Shops is proud to offer 15 different shops, all offering their own unique products and services. We are home to a wide selection of shops and services including a pharmacy, a takeaway, two estate agents (M. Coleman and CJ Hole), a hairdressers, a florist, a bike/scooter shop, a beauty salon and a photography studio.
Cleeve Wood Road is mostly locally owned and independent businesses. Many of the shop owners are local to the area and have ties to the community. We believe in shopping locally, which not only supports our businesses but is also beneficial to the community in general. We would love if you could pay us a visit.
We are a short distance from the main high street in Downend (just down the hill). We are also on the doorstep from some beautiful walks and scenery including Lincombe Barn, The River Frome / Frome Valley and the historic Britannia Woods.
